enough to send me home

Sun, 10/19/25-Made my way to GA to join the group. Initially, I couldn't decide whether I'd pretend to be a sprinter or a distance runner! I chose wisely--somewhere in the middle. A few (Chuck, Jeff Flock, and a couple of others) joined me in 6-8x200 at 800m pace with 2' rest. Given my lack of fitness and speed, this meant about 2:20-2:30 pace. Chuck and I wound up doing 8.

39, 37, 36, 36, 36, 35, 35, 33

I could probably manage 37s on a minute rest and 35s on a 2 minute rest. I'll keep that in mind.

Sat, 10/18/25-Went to the Y with V. Did 2M (9:30 + 8:30 = 18:00), then stretched and lifted.

Fri, 10/17/25-Went to Natirar for an early morning run. 3M--low-9:00 first mile, mid-8:00 second mile, low-8:00 third mile.

Thurs, 10/16/25-Tried my luck at 1000s on the farm, like the good old days when I used to run the rolling hills of Bayard Rustin HS...that is, before a housing development (now $1M+) was build on the course. I underestimated the time available to do a decent workout and underestimated the effort required to run at a good clip on the rolling and slanted hills. I managed only 4:15 on my first 1000 (.62M). I rested 3:45. I then figured I'd do a 600 to close the loop on what appeared to be a mile rectangle. In 2:20, the 600 (.37M) was flaccid as well. That was it for me! It was enough to send me home.

Wed, 10/15/25-Ran 2M around the block. 8:35, 8:15...16:50

Tues, 10/14/25-took off
